Maintain your accredited status with our 12-month membership. Enjoy ongoing access to our resource library, advanced webinars, and Parent Coach learning forum, plus a website listing and the right to use our official logo and accreditation badge to showcase your professional recognition.

Developed by Dr Jenny Brown, this membership formally recognises completion and application of the Parent Hope Manualised Clinical Intervention, while supporting clinicians to deepen their family systems work with parents and strengthen clarity, consistency, and clinical competence in practice.

What is the Accredited Clinician Membership?

Clinical work with parents is shaped less by technique, and more by the ongoing effort to think clearly about self in relationship systems.

Ongoing clinical development comes through sustained reflection, application, and continued engagement with theory in practice.

This membership provides a structured base to:

  • Stay anchored in a systems thinking approach
  • Continue using the Manualised Clinical Intervention with fidelity and confidence
  • Reflect on your own position and functioning in the clinical system
  • Stay connected with a community of clinicians working in similar ways

Accreditation in practice

Staying connected to Bowen family systems parenting clinical application in the midst of clinical complexity is not a one-time achievement, but a continuing process. The Accredited Clinician Membership provides the structure to support this work—helping you maintain a clear, steady position and continue developing your capacity for observation and joint research with parents.

Maintaining your accreditation

Membership reflects an ongoing commitment to the work. To remain an accredited Parent Hope clinician, you commit to:

  • Endeavor to apply the manuals with parents regularly. Aim for at least 5 parents per year using the manuals
  • Remaining engaged in ongoing learning and reflective practice

This ensures accreditation represents active, current practice, not simply completion of training.

Professional recognition

Only current members of the Accredited Clinician community can:

  • Identify as an Accredited Parent Hope Clinician
  • Use the Parent Hope accredited clinician logo in their practice
  • Be listed on the Parent Hope website as a referral option for families and services

This maintains the integrity of the model and provides clarity and trust for the community.

Continue your work with clarity and consistency.

Stay connected to a global community of systems thinkers that supports meaningful change.

Dr Jenny Brown

“When parents are actively involved in changing themselves as part of their child's treatment, they experience increased effectiveness (agency) in dealing with their child and, consequently, increased hope for their child's improvement.” Brown, J. (2023). Facilitating parents’ agency in child and adolescent mental health: Helplessness to hope. Cambridge Scholars Publishing.

Extending your practice

Many clinicians also draw on this approach in broader settings, including group work with parents. Some go on to facilitate the Confident Parent Course, supporting parents to shift from worry-driven parenting to more principle-based leadership in a group setting.
